As the poet Toby Mac sings “I feel the haters spitting vapors on my dreams
But I still believe.”  This Internet machine is an amazing tool, its also a safe place for people to throw rocks.  Its so easy for folks the hunker down behind a wall and just let them fly, not caring where they land or who they will affect.  I look at my businesses as an extension of me.  They represent the best of my brain power and creative work.  That’s why I’m bewildered that when some people have an issue they go online to vent instead of coming to me for a solution.  Also, when engaged empathetically to try and solve their problem I am met with silence… like all they really wanted to do was sneak up, cut me and run away.  I believe its a sign of the times, that these folks have been cut and that they think its normal and ok behavior.  Also, I really do appreciate them venting because if there is an issue I like to know about it so I can fix it.  I try and treat the criticism like a peanut.  If I ate the whole thing it would hurt going in and coming out, but If I take the shell off and only eat the good part it nourishes my body.  So, discounting outright trolls and haters spitting vapors criticism has been useful to learn, grow and be better.  If you aren’t taking risks and failing forward then you probably aren’t really doing anything.
