All subject matter and topics are like a tree.  Although its tempting to talk about the leaves, you should first build a solid base of knowledge learning about the roots and the trunk.  This is especially true as the stakes increase.  I wouldn’t spend large sums of money building a coffee shop to sell coffee without first understanding the coffee process and business basics seed to cup.  Just because you like t-shirts and you wear them doesn’t mean you should start a t-shirt business.
